Unlike Pierce, Thayer has zero prophesies attached to him or expectations for greatness, Father Neptune didn’t even bother even talking to him until years later when a few of his more beloved sons died on him. Since then his Dad dumps a lot of “quests” and odd jobs on Thayer and uses him as essentially a backup son and lackey.

The flying unicorn he is often with is not his pet, but Neptune’s favorite son Pegifer who is 100% a person despite his animal shape. Thayer and Peggy often accompany one another on their Divine duties since Thayer is inexperienced taking commands from a god and Peggy needing someone with hands to help him hold things.
